Business Consultation

Our technicians Wayne and Daniel can help you figure out how to improve your computer systems and networks and get your business running more efficiently.

We can help you decide whether to:

  • upgrade hardware and/or software in your computers, making your machines more efficient,
  • source new hardware and/or software for your computers, helping you complete your tasks faster,
  • set up networks so your computers can all access the same information, saving you time and energy,
  • invest in a new email service or build a website, bringing in more clients,
  • set up other cloud services, ensuring all of your work information is in a secure place.

Have a chat to one of our technicians regarding options for your business and we’ll do the thinking for you!

If you require more than one computer connected to each other to share information, either at your home or office, we can set this up for you.

There are many types of computer networks including…

local-area networks
The computers are geographically close together (that is, in the same building).

wide-area networks
The computers are farther apart and are connected by telephone lines or radio waves.

campus-area networks
The computers are within a limited geographic area, such as a campus or military base.

metropolitan-area networks
A data network designed for a town or city.

home-area networks
A network contained within a user’s home that connects a person’s digital devices.

Business Email

Our email service will reward you with plenty of storage, effective spam filtering, and a fast, productive interface.

Having email addresses with your company name helps keep all work emails in one place. This helps to make your workplace more organised and also makes it easier for your clients to find you in their own address books, and may even influence their decision to use your company.

Which one looks like a more professional company to you? Which would you trust more? My custom would be going to House of Lollies. It might not be much of a difference, but all of the little ones count!

Backups and Cloud Storage

There is nothing more painful than losing a machine and all of the documents on it. Having a secure place to keep copies of these vital working documents is a must to keep data loss to a minimum within your business. Especially with Crypto Locker doing the rounds again!

If you’re just backing up to an Drive or server in your office, your files aren’t completely safe. Yes, that backup protects you if your machines die, or if your external hard drives die and it’s definitely better to use two separate hardware devices than just one. But those backups won’t protect you from unnecessary data loss if disaster strikes.

Whether you’re backing up to an external hard drive, putting copies of your important files in USB flash drives, burning them to discs, or even backing up to a file server located in your home or office, there’s still a single point of failure.

Let us be your Second line of Defence!

Business Upkeep

Just like a car, it is important to annually service your computer to ensure the safety of your data and avoid business downtime.

It is our job – just like a car mechanic – to check from top to bottom the hardware and software in your computer to make sure it is running at optimal performance to avoid the loss of all your data or time!

With so many viruses and types of spyware on on the internet, it is important to be completely secure from these threats, having up to date antivirus software and making sure all your temporary internet files are cleared is essential to having your internet run at its optimal speed. We also check that Windows is fully up to date with the latest service packs which patch up important security risks in the operating system thus improving performance and making your computer run smoother.

Dust inside the computer can also affect the CPU fan which runs the risk of overheating your computer and causing hardware damage, so we make sure to give the inside a clean out so your computer can breathe easy.

If your business computers are hosted by a server or on a network, it is important to have them checked at least every 3 months as all those using the network may be relying on this to function and any issues can cause major problems within your business. This is a small expense compared to the cost of having no emails and data for long periods of time.

Compliance lvl 1  $300 p/m
Compliance lvl 2 $200 p/m
Compliance lvl 3  $100 p/m
Compliance lvl 4 $0 p/m

Why have a Service Contract?

Price/Budget – With a Break-Fix relationship you can pay minimum of $85 each call out for IT problems, potentially adding up to more than expected. With a service contract you have 1 set fee each month regardless of how many problems arise.

Productivity – Sometimes clients won’t call until they have a bunch of issues to fix at once, this causes a drop in productivity. We can monitor and keep track of issues so they happen less, and are fixed quickly, keeping your employees working.

Expertise – Is someone managing all the PC’s in your environment? Checking that Antivirus is on and updated? Operating system and vital programmes running smoothly? If so you are on the right track but if your computer whizz was employed for a different position they may not have all the expertise to make the best decisions, and could be better spending their time doing what they do best.

Convenience – Monitoring each machine allows problems to be captured before they become serious, for example a failing hard drive can be picked up before all data is lost. The monitoring software also allows for messages to be sent directly to your assigned Technician to make it easier when you need support.

All in all  – You get faster service, have less problems  and capture any you do have before they become serious.
